Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Health Minister stated that over 3 crore child beneficiaries have been immunized with the first dose of the Covid vaccine. The vaccination drive for children between 12-14 years was launched on March 16, with Biological E’s Corbevax administered in a period of 28 days. He further added that the children were a major contributor to the success of the ongoing vaccination drive.

According to the ministry, the Covid 19 vaccination coverage has reached 190.48 crores this week with 3.06 crore children between 12-14 years vaccinated so far. Also, 1.02 crore children between 12-14 years have received their second jabs along with 5.87 crores and 4.33 crore vaccination first and second doses administered among the age group of 15-18 respectively.
